Block Breaks Ground at Plaza at the Speedway

The developers of Plaza at tGroundbreaking at the Speedhe Speedway announced the first round of tenants in June for the 850,000 square-foot power center in Kanas City, Kansas.

The ceremonial ground breaking at the project site was June 4, 2008 with nearly 60 guests in attendance including representatives from the team of developers - Block & Company, Inc., Classic Real Estate and First National Development, Ltd., the Unified Government of Wyandotte County, the KCK Chamber of Commerce, Walton Construction Company, Fogel-Anderson Construction Company, Kleinfelder Construction Management, Klover Architects, Olson Manufacturing, and Mission Bank, the source of financing for the project.

"Our development team has worked extremely hard for many months to bring retailers of this caliber to a place where they are needed and appreciated," said David Block of Block & Company, Inc. "This is truly a great day for the City of Kansas City, Kansas as well as all of Wyandotte County."
