Block & Company, Inc., Realtors has two Rising Stars in KC Business Magazine

March 1, 2011

Block & Company sales associates Phil Peck and Chris Hitchcock were among 49 young professionals who were chosen as KC Business Magazine's 2011 class of Rising Stars. This years winners, nominated by their peers, family, or friends, are said to be Kansas City's next generation of business leaders. Block & Company is proud to have two sales associates win the award this year. Congratulations Phil & Chris!

Chris Hitchcock - Sales Associate
Chris joined Block & Company as a commercial sales associate in mid-2010 and has more than nine years of experience in the commercial sector. He has experience in site selection, land acquisition, development, sales and leasing, finance and management. Hitchcock has been involved with projects ranging from power centers to restaurants to strip centers, including the Kansas Speedway, the Shoal Creek Project and Kohl's department store. What's more, his track record shows involvement in 8 million-plus square feet of commercial real estate transactions. Chris is an Eagle Scout, and he donates time to the board for Man and Woman of the Year for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and to charity runs for the American Lung Cancer Association.

Phil Peck - Sales Associate
Phil joined Block & Company in early 2010 and already has been involved in the sales and leasing of more than 300,000 square feet of retail space. He also owns a Pita Pit franchise in Lawrence. Block & Co. president David Block says Peck has increased greatly the occupancy levels at area shopping centers that have struggled with drawing tenants in the past. "In Phil's short time at our firm," Block says, "he has gained important industry knowledge that has allowed him to emerge as someone who will be one of
the top producers within our company."
