Christina Batrez joined Block & Company, Inc., Realtors, in 2015 as a Brokerage Administrative Assistant. As she became proficient in brokerage procedures and practices, she advanced to become our Brokerage Admin Trainer and Senior Administrative Assistant. In 2023, Christina was promoted to her current position of Executive Administrative Assistant, supporting our President, David M. Block, as part of "Team David." She is also an integral part of the Block Event Committee.
Before joining Block & Company, she spent 18 years in the insurance brokerage field, with experience ranging from account management to customer service.
Christina is passionate about supporting veterans in various capacities, as she is the daughter, sister, and niece of Veterans who honorably served our country. Her main contribution was spearheading the KC Metro Chapter of the American GI Forum in 2001, later serving as Volunteer, Chairwoman, Event Planner, Secretary, and even Treasurer. This chapter involved many community events, fiestas, parades, and conferences. In addition to her board positions, she was elected Kansas State Chairwoman in 2015-2017.
Following her time with the American GI Forum, she joined and reactivated the Women's Auxiliary of the American Legion Post #213, the Argentine Eagles, in 2017. Christina established the educational scholarship that is now the main component of the American Legion #213 Educational Foundation.
Additional civic involvements include serving on the Fiesta Kansas City Planning Committee for the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and hosting the Fiesta Hispana for the Hispanic Heritage Committee of Greater KC.
When Christina is not in the office or volunteering for her community, she can be found at home with her husband, Manny, and her 13-year-old Jack-A-Poo, "Bella."
