Amy Ehlers started at Block & Company, Inc., Realtors in 2002 as an Executive Assistant to David M. Block. In 2016, Amy was promoted to Senior Vice President - Finance/Development. As such, she works with various banks and other commercial lenders, coordinating commercial loans of all sizes and types for investment and development properties managed by Block & Company. Amy works closely with Block's Construction & Development department to produce budgets and other cost analysis tools, along with coordinating the financing for the projects.

Amy's role as Senior Vice President - Finance/Development also encompasses assisting in the establishment of a variety of public incentives such as Tax Increment Financing (TIF), Community Improvement Districts (CID), Transportation Development Districts (TDD), etc. This involves working directly with the owners, attorneys and Municipalities throughout the Kansas City Metropolitan area, through the approval process and beyond. Amy serves on the board of numerous Missouri CIDŐs within the Kansas City Metro.

In addition, Amy also manages Block & Company's brokerage support team and works closely with Block's supervising brokers to ensure that company forms and procedures are in accordance with changing real estate commission guidelines.

Amy is currently serving in her 4th year on the CREW Kansas City Board of Directors, currently serving as President-Elect, after serving for 3 years on the golf committee as Chair/Co-Chair. CREW Kansas City is the leading organization for senior-level executive women in the Kansas City commercial real estate field. It promotes the highest standards of ethics and integrity and seeks to positively influence the direction of Kansas City's commercial real estate industry and community.

In 2023, Amy was selected to the CREW Network Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee. This committee is responsible for selecting the female commercial real estate student scholars to be recommended for the $5,000 -$10,000 annual scholarships the charitable arm of CREW Network awards each year. Through 2023, CREW Network Foundation has given 226 scholarships totaling $1,297,500 USD.
