Trophy Kansas City Area shopping center changes hands to close out 2021

Block & Company, Inc., Realtors based out of Kansas City announced the acquisition of Orchard Corners Shopping Center at the close of 2021. Located at the southwest corner of 95th Street and Quivira Road in Lenexa, Kansas, Orchard Corners is considered to be one of the most sought after community power centers by investors because of its prime location across from the Oak Park Mall. The center, which was marketed for sale nationally, will remain in local hands.



Block & Company, Inc. will continue to handle the property management of the over 200,000 square-foot shopping center which sits on approximately 19 acres of ground and in addition, Block & Company will assume the leasing of the center as well.



Anchor tenants at Orchard Corners include Nordstrom Rack, TJ Maxx, HomeGoods, Michaels, and many other tenants, as well as several restaurants and pad site users. The shopping center currently has a large space available for lease which was a 37,000 square-foot end cap previously occupied by Stein Mart. With exception to this availability, Orchard Corners has maintained an exceptionally high occupancy rate throughout the years. Built in 1971 and renovated in the 1990's, Orchard Corners has spectacular visibility and access from Oak Park Mall, which is located directly to the east across Quivira Road.
