Riley ABA & Autism Center will occupy the 17,381 square foot building that sits on 1.18 acres of ground. The property is located between the Country Club Plaza, UMKC, and the Brookside Shopping District off of Brookside Boulevard.
Riley ABA & Autism Center is dedicated to delivering exceptional, personalized therapeutic services rooted in the science and principles of applied behavior analysis to children diagnosed with autism and their families. Their commitment lies in fostering a positive and therapeutic atmosphere, concurrently cultivating an enjoyable and enriching culture for all Riley ABA employees. ABA therapy stands out as the extensively researched and empirically supported treatment for individuals diagnosed with autism, particularly children and adolescents. While the bulk of behavior analysis research has focused on ASD, successful outcomes have also been observed in individuals with other developmental disabilities.
The building is set to undergo extensive renovations in the coming weeks. Riley ABA is planning for several new and interactive play areas throughout the space including a 1,000 square foot play town to target play and social skills, a larger interior sensory gym for gross and fine motor development and an expansive outdoor, fenced in playground. The new facility will support ample parking for staff and families, an expansive employee break room with an outdoor patio, a large prep kitchen with both child and adult height countertops and sinks, and several individual bathrooms with child height toilets and sinks. Riley ABA expects renovations to be completed by mid Summer 2024.
