$225 million Village at View High development approved in Lee's Summit, MO

The picturesque area at Third Street and View High Drive in Lee's Summit - just north of New Longview and across from Fred Arbanas Golf Course - is the site of a new, wide-ranging, first-class development planned in western Lee's Summit. The Village at View High will usher in a new era of luxury multi-family housing, a quarter-million square feet of retail, more than 100,000 square feet of office and medical space, dynamic entertainment and dining options and a proposed senior living facility within nearly 80 acres of land and a total development investment of $225 million.

John Bondon, president of Parrot Properties in Kansas City and a longtime resident of Lee's Summit, said his project - one of collaboration between he and his development team of Block & Company, Inc., Engineering Solutions, TransSystems, Hirst and Associates Architects, Bushyhead, LLC and Humphrey, Farrington & McClain, PC - will indeed be a transformative development that further defines this area of Lee's Summit.

The Village at View High is strategically situated at one of the highest points in Lee's Summit near Metropolitan Community College-Longview, Longview Lake and the Frank White, Jr., Softball Complex. The surrounding retail and housing markets have seen vigorous and widespread growth recently which, coupled with the planned expansion at the Cerner Corporation Campus and the satellite campus in Lee's Summit, is certain to attract many new residents, shoppers and consumers to the View High and Third Street corridor.

Village at View High will develop in three phases, with a proposed 23-acres of land for approximately 300 high-end luxury apartments, 13 acres for an exclusive gated community of senior living villas, townhomes and apartments and another 35 acres for retail, restaurant and office opportunities. At nearly 100,000 residents and one of the fastest growing cities in Missouri, Lee's Summit is the core of new development investment in the Kansas City market. For Bondon, this development further cements Lee's Summit's place in the market.
