Today, January 4, 2017, a Block & Company, Inc., Realtors sponsored investment group
purchased the former Kmart Shopping Center located on southeast quadrant of I-35 & Shawnee Mission Parkway at 8703 Shawnee Mission Parkway in Merriam, Kansas - one of the finest and last remaining retail sites in the region, the property fronts Shawnee Mission Parkway from Antioch Road to Eby Street. Block & Company, Inc., Realtors plans to redevelop the 11.79 acre property into a mixed-use development with restaurants, retail, entertainment, and hotel sites. The development will have plenty of green and flower garden spaces with plenty of landscaping, making it community and pedestrian friendly
with walkways along with art and historical features. Block & Company is working closely with the city of Merriam, Kansas to ensure a quality development for the city's and community's visions.
