GRAND OPENING | The Other Place to open December 19th in Mission West Shopping Center in Mission, KS

Block & Company, Inc., Realtors is excited to announce the grand opening of The Other Place at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 19th at Mission West Shopping Center. The Other Place, an American sports grill and pizzeria, will occupy the 4,050 square foot former Italian Delight space at 6522 Martway Street in Mission, Kansas. David M. Block, Max Kosoglad, and Darren Siegel of Block & Company represented the property ownership group in the lease transaction.



The Other Place was started in 1970 on College Hill in Cedar Falls, Iowa and was primarily a college bar that served and delivered pizza and is recognized as a memorable part of the college experience by generations of UNI students across the country. The restaurant specializes in homemade pizza, oven baked subs, sandwiches, pastas, salads and more all in a sports-themed setting. This location marks The Other Place's fourth location to the Greater Kansas City area with eight other locations in their founding state of Iowa.

Mission West is an approximately 87,000 square foot shopping center with great accessibility, ideally located just seconds from Metcalf Avenue (69 Highway), Shawnee Mission Parkway and Interstate 35. Shadow anchored by HyVee, Natural Grocers, and Target, the shopping center is surrounded by well established neighborhoods and schools, and a high density of restaurants and retail centers.



Mission West currently has spaces available for lease ranging from 1,300 to nearly 9,500 square feet. Current tenants include Dollar Tree, Planet Fitness, The Kansas Drivers License Bureau, Great Tanz, American Honey, The Other Place, Jayhawk Primary Care, Los Gallitos Mexican Grill, Empire Pets Grooming, Thai Orchid, and Slim Chickens.
