Block & Company investment group acquires Louisiana Purchase shopping center in Lawrence, KS

A Block & Company, Inc., Realtors sponsored LLC recently acquired Louisiana Purchase Shopping Center in Lawrence, Kansas from FPA Louisiana Street Associates, LLC. The two building shopping center is located at the east entrance to Lawrence's primary retail corridor off of 23rd Street, at 2223 & 2233 Louisiana Street. The shopping center consists of two buildings totaling 22,958 square-feet and sits on approximately 2.10 acres of land. Louisiana Purchase is consistently over 90% occupied, the center's tenants currently include Goodcents, Wing Stop, Family Video, Allstate, Advance America, and more.
This purchase will be Block & Company, Inc., Realtors sponsored buyers' sixth major shopping center acquisition or ground up development in the Lawrence, Kansas market. Block & Company will be handling the leasing and property management for Louisiana Purchase center. "We are planning to do a substantial amount of upgrades to the property in the upcoming year and give the shopping center the attention it deserves," says David M.
