Sam's Club & Sam's Gas Station open at Block & Company's Plaza at the Speedway

Block & Company, Inc., Realtors is proud to announce that Sam's Club will be opening its doors at the Plaza at the Speedway on October 18th. The new 136,085 square-foot Sam's Club store and Sam's Club Gas Station will be a great additions to the 850,000 square foot retail power shopping center located at I-435 & Parallel Parkway in western Kansas City, Kansas.

The Plaza at the Speedway development continues to bring an all-star lineup of national retailers and restaurants to western Wyandotte County. Already home to Walmart Supercenter and Kohl's, as well as Jack in the Box, Olive Garden, Chick-fil-A, Taco Bell, Red Lobster, Logan's Roadhouse, and Wendy's restaurants, the Plaza at the Speedway is designed to meet the everyday needs and demands of the residents in this rapidly growing region of Greater Kansas City, and is the only development of this kind in the area.

In addition to Sam's Club opening the Plaza at the Speedway also has two 7,350 square-foot multi-tenant retail buildings presently under construction. One building contains Great Clips and Sleep Number and the other will be home to a 7,350 square-foot Mattress Firm store, these tenants are projected to open their doors in January of 2013.

The Plaza at the Speedway development is located in the epicenter of a major tourism district surrounded by numerous attractions such as the NASCAR Kansas Speedway, Livestrong Sporting Park, Kansas City T-Bones Baseball Park, Cabela's, Nebraska Furniture Mart, The Legends Kansas City Outlets, The Great Wolf Lodge, and Schlitterbahn Vacation Village. The multi-state pull of these dynamic retail and entertainment concepts attracts more than 14 million visitors annually from as far as 250 miles away.
