David M. Block inducted into Midwest Real Estate News Hall of Fame

David M. Block, President of Block & Company, Inc., Realtors was selected as an inductee into the 5th Annual "Midwest Real Estate News Hall of Fame". David was honored in the December 2014/January 2015 issue of Midwest Real Estate News along with 70 other qualified real estate professionals who have made an impact in both their careers and communities.
Block has 40 years of industry experience. During his four-decade career, Block has developed a reputation as one of the Midwest's top full-service real estate brokers. He has worked on the leasing and site selection of hundreds of new developments, and helped to shape the commercial landscape of the Kansas City market.
Block wants to provide the best service to his clients. This means providing them with the facts they need to make the best real estate decisions, as well as being honest, hard-working, and ethcial. This is how Block has maintained so many long-term relationships with his clients: They know he will help them make the real estate decisions that can help their companies thrive.
Block's client list reads like a who's who of big names: Dick's Sporting Goods, Hallmark, The Avenue, Houston's, Linens 'N Things, and Radio Shack are just a few of the names populating this list.
In addition to running the retail, restaurant, and hospitality divisions of Block & Company, Block has been involved in the development and build-to-suit of shopping centers, restaurants, hotels, distribution centers, office buildings, and industrial properties throughout the Kansas City market and in more than 16 other states.
Block has been involved in some of the biggest new developments throughout the his market. He's played key roles in the Plaza at Adams Farm in Blue Springs, MO; The Plaza at the Speedway in Kansas City, KS; and Raymore Galleria in Raymore, MO. He's also guiding new power center developments in Lee's Summit, MO and Lawrence, KS.
Block is also an active member of the community. He is a member of the Metropolitan Kansas City Board of Realtors, the Missouri Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors, and the International Council of Shopping Centers. When it comes to charitable organizations, Block isn't shy about volunteering his time. He is actively involved with the Emilie Rosebud Diabetes Research Foundation, an organization with the mission of finding a cure for diabetes. He is also an active member of the Congregation B'nai Jehudah.
