Hydrangea House Coming to Brookside’s Landmark Former Police and Fire Station

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI—Block & Company, Inc., Realtors, a Kansas City-based commercial real estate firm, is pleased to announce that Hydrangea House, a local Luxury Antique and Home Goods store, formerly located in Overland Park, Kansas, plans to occupy the 6,265-square-foot building at 22 W. 63rd Street in Kansas City's Brookside neighborhood.

The distinctive Tudor-style brick building is a familiar part of Brookside's commercial district. Formerly home to the neighborhood's police and fire station, the property later housed local florist Fiddly Fig.

Hydrangea House's planned arrival marks the next chapter for the property, which features prominent visibility along 63rd Street and a location among Brookside's established shops, restaurants and neighborhood businesses.

A Block & Company investment group acquired the property in 2022 with the goal of securing a tenant that would become a lasting part of the Brookside neighborhood. Block & Company will continue to provide property management services, supporting the ownership and tenant as the building enters its next chapter.
