Block & Company, Inc., Realtors Successfully Completes Sierra build-out for Grand Opening

Block & Company, Inc., Realtors is pleased to announce that Sierra, a retailer of off-price merchandise operated by the TJX Companies, is opening across the street from Oak Park Mall at Orchard Corners Shopping Center, located on the southwest corner of 95th Street & Quivira Road in Lenexa, Kansas.
A grand opening will be held Saturday, March 15th, 2025, at 8:00 a.m., at 9656 Quivira Rd, Lenexa, KS, and will feature a DJ and door prizes.
The successful build-out of the approximately 19,000 square foot Sierra space was led by Block & Company's Executive Vice President of Construction,
Rick Weiser, and completed in partnership with a Kansas City based construction group, Harmon Construction and a TJX Companies, Inc, preferred Chicago based architect group, CT Architects.
The Sierra build-out started with a 37,000 square foot anchor property, formerly SteinMart, and was split into two to welcome Sierra on one side and Petco on the other. Interior modifications included a new rooftop, new mechanical systems, and new electrical and gas service to split the utilities. Exterior modifications included the demo of the existing SteinMart, and a new Sierra standard facade.
Sierra is new to the Kansas City Market, with this location marking only their second in the region. "The city inspector, fire marshal, and construction team [for this project] are all excited to see this Sierra location come to the Metro," said Rick Weiser, Executive Vice President of Construction.
Sierra is a part of the TJX Companies, Inc, a Fortune 100 company that is the leading off-price apparel and home fashions retailer in the U.S. and worldwide. Other notable TJX Companies, Inc, stores include TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Home Goods, and Home Sense.
Petco, which will be located directly beside Sierra, is currently in the drawing stage of the build-out and is estimated to be completed December of 2025.
David M. Block successfully negotiated both the Petco and Sierra lease transactions on behalf of the property owners.
