Block & Company, Inc., Realtors is pleased to announce the sale of
Ponak's Mexican Restaurant & Bar, a 6,228 square-foot restaurant property with an outdoor patio situated on approximately 0.70 acres at 2856 Southwest Boulevard in Kansas City.
The property was acquired by Ponak's long-standing General Manager, Spencer Shaw.
Shaw plans to honor the legacy and traditions of the well-established 50-year-old restaurant by continuing to operate the business as is, while also introducing a new catering concept to expand its reach throughout the Kansas City market.
Founded in 1975, Ponak's Mexican Restaurant & Bar has earned multiple food and beverage awards and is widely regarded as one of Kansas City's most popular Mexican restaurants—known for its "World-Class" margaritas and distinctive art deco style. Ponak's recipes are influenced by the Sonora region of Mexico, reflecting culinary traditions steeped in flavor and heritage.
New ownership has tentative plans for expansion in the future.
